A few years ago, Philippe Peseux presented a still life exhibition of vegetables, lying on a comfortable and colorful cushion, highlighted by a black background. Among the vegetable paintings, there were 3 that represented Charlotte’s jars of jam.
The idea for this exhibition came about last year, after having been together several times at summer markets to sell Charlotte’s jams and Philippe’s art. The theme « Jam session » was obvious, playing on the expression « Jam Sessions » in Jazz, a music that Philippe has particular affection for.. Inscrivez-vous pour être prévenu de l’ouverture.
Uns anos atrás, o Philippe Peseux apresentou uma exposição com naturezas-mortas de legumes, deitados por cima de uma almofada confortável e colorida, destacados com um fundo preto. Entre os quadros de vegetais, estavam 3 que representavam os frascos de compotas de Charlotte.
A ideia dessa exposição surgiu no ano passado, depois ter sido várias vezes juntos nos mercadinhos de verão para vender os doces da Charlotte e a arte do Philippe. O tema « Jam session » foi óbvio, brincando com a expressão « Jam Session » no Jazz, música que o Philippe afeiçoa particularmente.

Philippe was born in Besançon (France) in 1971, of French-Italian culture. After studying visual arts and having various artistic experiences (comic fanzines, animated shorts, photography and graphic design), he started as a freelance illustrator in 1997 (for press, communication and audiovisual).
Music plays an important role in his artistic creation. From 2003 to 2007, he published three comics, combining image and music (Dizzy Gillespie, Marilyn Monroe and Vivaldi).
He began his work as a painter in 2007, when he moved to Portugal. His themes come mainly from there: dried fish, cork oaks, portraits, rockrose flowers, Alentejo landscapes, etc. He also participates in the organization of artistic events such as TassJazz (communication + painting performance during the concerts), Feira d’Arte (organization), MiraFest (illustration), as well as several events of the Sopa dos Artistas association, of which he has been a member since 2011.
He exhibits in France, Portugal, Spain and Italy.
Charlotte was born in Besançon (France) in 1975.
Since childhood, she has been passionate about languages, travels and traditions. At the age of 16, she went to live in India and continued her travels to the ends of the earth for over 20 years. At the same time, she worked in edition and advertising for 15 years. She moved to Portugal in 2009 and ran a guesthouse before settling in Odemira, where she continues to host travelers and dedicates herself mainly to her animals, plants and cooking. She sells her products at summer markets and to individuals.
Philippe and Charlotte have been a shock team since 1995. This is their first exhibition together.
O Philippe nasceu em Besançon (França) em 1971, de cultura franco-italiana. Depois estudos em artes plásticas e diversas experiências artísticas (fanzines de banda desenhada, curtas-metragens de animação, fotografia e design gráfico), iniciou como ilustrador freelancer em 1997 (para imprensa, comunicação e audiovisual).
A música desempenha um papel importante na sua criação artística. De 2003 a 2007, publicou três bandas desenhadas combinando imagens e música (Dizzy Gillespie, Marilyn Monroe e Vivaldi).
Começou o seu trabalho de pintor em 2007, altura em que se mudou para Portugal. Os seus temas são majoritariamente provenientes dai: peixe seco, sobreiros, retratos, flores de esteva, paisagens alentejanas, etc. Participa também na organização de eventos artísticos como TassJazz (comunicação + performance de pintura durante os concertos), Feira d’Arte (organização), MiraFest (ilustração), bem como em diversos eventos da associação da Sopa dos Artistas, da qual é membro desde 2011.
Expõe em França, Portugal, Espanha e Itália.
Charlotte nasceu em Besançon (França) em 1975.
Desde a infância, apaixonou-se por línguas, viagens e tradições. Aos 16 anos fui viver na Índia e continuou as suas viagens até aos confins do mundo durante mais de 20 anos. Paralelamente, trabalhou em edição e publicidade durante 15 anos. Mudou para Portugal em 2009. Geriu uma hospederia antes de se estabelecer em Odemira, onde continua a hospedar viajantes e dedica-se principalmente aos seus animais, plantas e culinária. Vende os seus produtos em mercados de verão e a particulares.
Philippe e Charlotte formam uma equipe de choque desde 1995. Esta é a primeira exposição deles em conjunto.
